Terms of Service

Welcome to PuzzPic. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and PuzzPic ("PuzzPic," "we," "us," or "our") and govern your use of the PuzzPic mobile apps and related services (the "Service"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use PuzzPic. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Your account

You can create an account with an email address and password, or on iOS by using Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

3. Your content and license

You own your content. The photos, puzzles, captions, and notes you create or upload ("Your Content") remain yours. We do not claim ownership of them.

To operate the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, resize, adapt (for example, to slice a photo into puzzle tiles), and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service — including sharing puzzles with the people you send or gift them to, and displaying puzzles you choose to make public. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for content already shared with others and for reasonable backup copies that may persist for a limited period.

You represent that you have the rights necessary to upload Your Content and to grant this license, and that Your Content does not violate any law or the rights of others.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use PuzzPic responsibly. You will not:

Upload or share content that is illegal, infringing, harmful, or that violates the rights of others.
Post sexually explicit content, content that sexualizes minors, hate speech, harassment, threats, or content that promotes violence or self-harm.
Upload photos of other people without their consent where consent is required.
Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation.
Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
Use the Service to send spam, malware, or to collect others' data without permission.
Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security or safety features (including the ad-free purchase or reporting and blocking tools).

5. Prohibited content and moderation

PuzzPic includes tools to report and block content and users. We may review reported content and, at our discretion, remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. We are not obligated to monitor content but may do so to keep the community safe.

6. Purchases and ads

The Service is supported by ads and offers an optional "Remove Ads" in-app purchase. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms, and any refunds are handled according to those platforms' policies. Features and pricing may change.

7. Intellectual property

The PuzzPic name, logo, app, and all related software, design, and content we provide (excluding Your Content) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service except as allowed by law.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party platforms and services (including Apple, Google, Firebase, and Google AdMob). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that content will always be available or preserved.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PuzzPic and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $50.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including content license for already-shared content, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION — placeholder, to be set by the owner], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and material changes may be announced in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
